MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CUBAN OBSERVATORY OF HUMAN RIGHTS

MEP Javier Zarzalejos has met in the European Parliament with representatives of the Cuban
Observatory for Human Rights. Guillermo Fariñas should have been with them but he was
arrested before traveling to Europe. Zarzalejos and the PPE Group have expressed concern
about this fact and about the imprisonment of José Daniel Ferrer, whose release was already
requested by Parliament in its latest resolution on Cuba. They also wanted to denounce that
the repression in the country is getting worse and worse.
