MEETING BETWEEN JAVIER ZARZALEJOS AND THIERNO SOULEYMANE DIOP NINAG
On February 6, MEP Javier Zarzalejos met with Thierno Souleymane Diop Ninag, a foreign policy expert and program manager at LEGS-AFRICA (Leadership, Governance, and Sustainable Development in Africa). LEGS-AFRICA is an organization dedicated to promoting leadership, governance, and sustainable development in Africa.
During the meeting, key issues for cooperation between Europe and Africa were discussed, including governance, climate change, and migration. Both parties agreed on the need for a pragmatic and joint approach to tackle these challenges that affect both regions. Zarzalejos and Diop Ninag emphasized the importance of adapting European and African policies to foster greater collaboration while respecting mutual interests and values.
Additionally, the role of parliamentary diplomacy was highlighted as a fundamental vehicle for strengthening ties between Europe and Africa, promoting dialogue and institutional cooperation. This interaction reinforces the importance of an alliance based on mutual respect and a shared commitment to finding common solutions to global challenges.
