On July 16, MEP Javier Zarzalejos had the opportunity to hold a meeting with President Guillermo Lasso and the Ecuadorian delegation in the framework of the EU-Celac summit. They discussed issues that the European Parliament is working on in relation to Latin America and, specifically, Ecuador, such as the Schengen visa exemption process for Ecuadorians.<\/p>\n
Likewise, Zarzalejos was able to appreciate Ecuador’s progress in social policy, in the improvement of economic policy conditions and the recent historic decision on the debt swap.<\/p>\n
Next week’s Eurolat meeting in Madrid will mark the continuity and strengthening of relations with this country.<\/p>\n
