Javier Zarzalejos organised a conference on Monday 18 November as part of the 10th UNED Congress on the European Union, where he addressed the issue of the rule of law, underlining its crucial importance for the development and cohesion of the EU. The event was also attended by prominent speakers, such as Nicol\u00e1s Pascual de la Parte, MEP for the Partido Popular, who spoke on the challenges of security and defence in Europe, and Axel Voss, who gave a detailed overview of European digital legislation and its implications for innovation and technological regulation.<\/p>\n
Carlos Vidal, Professor of Constitutional Law, was also present as master of ceremonies for the event.
