On 17 June, the Chair of the European Parliament\u2019s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE), Javier Zarzalejos, held a meeting with the European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the European People’s Party (EPP), Dolors Montserrat.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, they discussed a range of issues related to the European legislative agenda and the state of the rule of law within the European Union, in the context of preparations for the European Commission\u2019s forthcoming Annual Rule of Law Report.
