MEETING WITH COMMISSIONER FOR JUSTICE MICHAEL McGRATH

On 17 June, the Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE), Javier Zarzalejos, held a meeting with the European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the European People’s Party (EPP), Dolors Montserrat.

During the meeting, they discussed a range of issues related to the European legislative agenda and the state of the rule of law within the European Union, in the context of preparations for the European Commission’s forthcoming Annual Rule of Law Report. Spain’s assessment in the area of the rule of law was among the topics addressed during these discussions.
